Chief Executive Officer
Morgan M. “Mac” Schuessler, Jr. is the President and Chief Executive Officer of Evertec since April 2015. Schuessler has over 20 years of payment industry leadership experience. He has served as President of International for Global Payments Inc., overseeing business in 23 countries throughout Europe and Asia.
From 2008 to 2012, Schuessler served as Global Payments’ Executive Vice President and Chief Administrative Officer. Prior to joining Global Payments, Schuessler served in several leadership positions with American Express, Inc. including Vice President, Global Purchasing Solutions with responsibility for managing the company's purchasing card business globally.
Schuessler was previously a member of Visa's Senior Client Council and the UnionPay International Member, the international division of China UnionPay (CUP). He holds a bachelor’s degree from New York University and an MBA from Emory University’s Goizueta Business School where he currently serves on the Executive Committee of the Dean’s Advisory Board. Additionally, Schuessler is also a member of both Young President's organization (YPO).
Chief Financial Officer
Joaquin Castrillo is serving as the Chief Financial Officer of Evertec effective as of September 6, 2018. Most recently, he served as Vice President of Finance for Evertec.
Prior to joining Evertec in 2012, he worked for PwC in Banking and Capital Markets group in New York and Puerto Rico.
Castrillo holds a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration with a double concentration in Finance and Accounting from Villanova University in Pennsylvania. He also is a Certified Public Accountant.
Country Head, Evertec Colombia
Enrique Candanoza is the Country Head, Evertec Colombia. He has more than 20 years of experience in managing payment methods, electronic channels and financial products. He has more than 30 years of experience in manufacturing and technology companies.
Candanoza was co-founder of Processa. Previously to his current role, Candanoza was the Technology Vice-president of various financial institutions in Colombia, such as Megabanco (part of Banco de Bogotá) and Cupocrédito.
He obtained his bachelor in Systems Engineering in the Universidad Incca of Colombia and after he studied Public Accounting at Universidad Javeriana. Candanoza was also a finance professor in Universidad Javeriana and currently teaches at CESA.
Executive Vice President
of Payment Services for
Latin America
Rodrigo Del Castillo is Executive Vice President of Payment Services for Latin America. As part of this role he is responsible for the business development and commercial management for this region. He has more than 30 years of experience in the development and commercialization of products, information technology services and transactional financial solutions.
Del Castillo is the co-founder of EFT Group. He led the integration of different companies, which concluded with the creation of PayGroup, company with headquarters in Chile, and acquired by Evertec in July 2017.
He has a degree in industrial engineering from Universidad de Santiago and a master degree in business management from the Universidad Adolfo Ibanez.

of Information Technology (IT)
Maria Gois is the Senior Vice President of Information Technology (IT) of Evertec. She has more than 25 years of experience in Operating Systems, Capacity Planning, System Development, Project Management and Process Improvement.
Prior to joining Evertec in 2005, Gois worked in Venezuela’s largest Oil and Telephone Companies, PDVSA and CANTV, where she held different IT positions.
Gois was born in Venezuela. She earned a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Sciences at Universidad Central de Venezuela, in Caracas.

Chief Administrative Officer
Paola Perez Surillo is the Vice President and Chief Administrative Officer. Previously, she was the Internal Audit Director of Evertec.
She has a strong background in financial and internal audits, internal controls, project management and Sarbanes-Oxley compliance. On December 2011, commenced in Evertec with the implementation of the Sarbanes-Oxley Program and coordination of the Internal Audit function. In 2013, Pérez was named Evertec’s Internal Audit Director by the Audit Committee of the Board of Directors.
She obtained her bachelor of science in accounting from Fairfield University in May 2005 and is a Certified Public Accountant since February 2009. She worked in Chartis as an External Reporting Manager of the Latin America Region and in PriceWaterHouseCoopers where she worked as a senior auditor. During her time in PriceWaterHouseCoopers she worked with different public clients from the financial services and healthcare industries. In 2015 she was recognized by Caribbean Business with the 40 Under 40 award.

Sales for Puerto Rico
Carlos J. Ramírez is the Executive Vice President of Sales for Puerto Rico of Evertec. Previously, he was the Executive Vice President of Business Solutions of Evertec.
Prior to joining Evertec in 2004, Ramírez was with GM Group. During his 21-year tenure at GM, Ramírez held various senior positions in product and sales management, ultimately serving as the Senior Executive Vice President of Business Development in Puerto Rico.
Ramírez received his Bachelor of Science in Computer and Systems Engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in Troy, New York. He is a member of the Puerto Rico Chamber of Commerce and the Puerto Rico Sales and Marketing Association. He has received numerous commendations including the Top Management Award in Sales from the Puerto Rico Sales & Marketing Association; the Service Manager of the Year, Metro Region award from the Puerto Rico Manufacturers Association; the People to Watch award in 2009 from Caribbean Business.
Senior Vice President
of Internal Audit
Juan Rego is the Senior Vice President of Internal Audit of Evertec. Before assuming this responsibility at Evertec in 2017, Rego worked as Director of Enterprise Risk Management.
Prior to joining Evertec in 2015, he worked for PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) over 13 years in the Risk Assurance practice, being his last role as Senior Manager in the practice responsible for Risk Management, Business Processes and Internal Control Environment assurance activities within various industries, including Financial Services, Manufacturing and Pharmaceutical.
Rego earned a Bachelor’s degree in Systems Engineering at Universidad Tecnológica del Centro (UNITEC) in Venezuela, followed by a Master degree in Networking at Instituto Cibernos in Spain. He holds Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) and is Certified in Risk and Information System Controls (CRISC).

Diana I. Rivera is our Senior Vice President, Corporate Controller since 2018. She has more than 25 years of experience in the accounting field.
Prior to joining Evertec in 2013, she worked for 10 years for BBVA Bank in Puerto Rico in several positions such as Loan Review Director, General Auditor, Risk Management, SVP. Prior to that, she worked in PriceWaterhouseCooper, San Juan PR, as an Audit and Assurance Services Manager.
She holds a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Accounting from Bentley College, Massachusetts. She also is a Certified Public Accountant.

Alexandra López-Soler is the Senior Vice President of Marketing and Communications of Evertec for Puerto Rico, the Caribbean and Latin America.
Alexandra is a professional with the proven experience in the Marketing Industry specifically in the digital arena. She has been working in the financial technology for the past 10 years focusing on the banking industry.
During more than 20 years of her professional career, Alexandra has held different executive positions in companies both in Puerto Rico and the US. Among them: Citibank, Deloitte Consulting, Procter & Gamble, Oriental Bank, Doral Bank, GFR Media, Populicom & Star Media Network.
She holds a master’s degree (MBA) from the University of Michigan Ross School of Business and a Bachelor of Arts in political science and Italian from Tufts University.

Luis A. Rodriguez is the Executive Vice President of Corporate Development and Strategy, and General Counsel of Evertec. Prior to joining Evertec in May 2015, Rodriguez served as Executive Director at J.P. Morgan’s Emerging Markets Credit Desk in New York.
During his more than 10 years of professional experience in the Puerto Rico, United States and Latin America markets, Rodríguez also served as Assistant Secretary for the Department of Economic Development and Commerce of Puerto Rico, Vice President of Deutsche Bank Securities Inc.’s Distressed Products Group and Emerging Markets Latin America Credit Trading Group in New York, and as an associate at the law firm Davis Polk & Wardwell in New York.
Rodriguez possesses a Bachelor's degree from the Woodrow Wilson School of Public and International Affairs at Princeton University. He also holds a Juris Doctor from Stanford Law School. In 2016 he was recognized by Caribbean Business with the 40 Under 40 award.

Innovation Officer
Guillermo Rospigliosi is our Executive Vice President and Chief Product and Innovation Officer of Evertec. He has 20 years of experience in the Payments, Financial Services, Innovation, and Technology sectors and is passionate about the connection of commerce and technology.
Rospigliosi held regional Latin American roles in Visa for 11 years. Previous to joining Evertec, Rospigliosi was the Managing Director for Latin America at CyberSource, a Visa subsidiary, where he was responsible for establishing and growing the business. Before Visa, he had previous experiences in Citibank in New York and Banco de Crédito in Peru.
Rospigliosi was born in Perú. He graduated from University of Lima with a bachelor degree in Business Administration and holds an MBA from the University of Texas in Austin.

Chief Operating Officer
Philip E. Steurer es el principal oficial de operaciones de Evertec y está a cargo de Operaciones, Procesamiento de Transacciones, Calidad y Gerencia de Proyectos de TI. Steurer se incorporó al equipo de Evertec en el 2012. A partir del 2001, Steurer fungió como vicepresidente y gerente general de PaySys International. Previo a esto, en el 1999 se desempeñó como Gerente de la Unidad de Servicio de Crédito para Sears Roebuck y Compañía. En 1995 ingresó al equipo de Electronic Data Systems como Gerente en el Área de Administración de Contratos y luego fue Gerente Senior del Centro de Procesamiento de Tarjetas para su división de África. Antes de esto, laboró por cuatro años como Examinador de la Banca para el FDIC (Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation).
Steurer posee un bachillerato en Finanzas de Notre Dame University en Indiana y una maestría en Finanzas de la Universidad de Indiana.

Miguel Vizcarrondo is the Executive Vice President of Payment Services – Puerto Rico and Caribbean, Business Solutions and Merchant Acquiring of Evertec. Previously, he was the Executive Vice President of Merchant Acquiring and Payment Processing of Evertec.
Before assuming these responsibilities at Evertec in 2010, Vizcarrondo worked at Banco Popular of Puerto Rico as Vice President of Corporate Banking and as a Portfolio Manager in the Treasury Division of the Bank.
Vizcarrondo received his Bachelor of Science degree in Management, with a concentration in Finance, from Tulane University in New Orleans, Louisiana.
He is a member of the Puerto Rico Association for Financial Professionals where he is President Emeritus. Vizcarrondo has received numerous acknowledgements including People to Watch 2011 and 40 Under 40 award in 2012, both recognitions from Caribbean Business.
