Popular, Inc. created EVERTEC on April 1, 2004 to offer the best option for transactions processing and technological solutions to a variety of markets and industries.

Our name is a combination of EVER (meaning AT ALL TIMES) and TEC (from technology), to express our ability and availability to serve our clients 365 days a year, 7 days a week, 24 hours a day. The E in our name also stands for EXECUTION, which summarizes our commitment to offering our clients the complete solutions they need to gain a competitive edge.
